A New Pup!

It's been a month now since my Lenny passed away, and it doesn't get any easier. Life without a dog in the home just isn't the same. DH doesn't enjoy walking anymore, coming home to a quiet house after shopping etc, just doesn't feel right, We still expect Len to be jumping at the front door barking because he is so pleased to see us, then sniffing all the shopping bags saying "what you got me then" We miss cuddling up to him on the sofa at night and all that sort of soppy stuff!
We were not planning on getting another dog as we thought we would not have any ties and could do a lot of travelling, but when you way it all up, it just doesn't balance! but DH was just not ready to talk about it.
There is always light at the end of the tunnel though, and my torch is a very cute Standard Poodle Pup belonging to dear customers of mine, Sandra and John.
They bought Elsa in for her haircut on Thursday, she has been by far the hardest dog I've had to clip since Lenny died, as she is the closest to his appearance! Elsa is a very cheeky, lively pup and likes to box!!! she has a beautiful personality and I started thinking about having her here for a whole day when Pete was at home, hoping this would change his mind. in the mean time when Sandra collected her after her haircut, she bought her camera along and took a pic of me with Elsa.
So here is me with Elsa, not the best picture of me, but can't you just see a little shine of joy in my eyes, holding onto this little darling! Sandra e.mailed me the picture and I put it as desktop on the computer screen. Now this upset Pete and he asked me to remove it. Now I knew getting Elsa here was not going to go the way I planned and I knew I needed to give Pete more time. I don't know what happened that evening or what was going through Pete's head but this morning at breakfast, he told me YES we are going to get another Standard Poodle Puppy, but only from Lenny's breeder. You should have seen me blubbering over my toast. I am so happy and the first thing we did after breakfast was to e.mail his breeder. I am now anxiously waiting for an e.mail back... WooHoo! can't wait.
I have more layouts to show you from my latest kit 'Dilys' this is one from Maryse, I really love the cheekiness in this one lol!

This is from Lyn, I really do think B/W pics go so well with this kit too!

and another from Kim Scrappin, and the countryside colours are so fitting with Dilys too!

I have even done a layout with this kit too! I did this for Andrea's quote challenge.

and Kim B played with my kit too! Woohoo! I am so chuffed, this stunner has been done for my scraplift challenge, you wanna come and play?

and lastly I have created this frame cluster for you, and if you do snag this freebie, please I do like to read little comments of thanks, it makes it more worthwhile :)

Last day of school, for ever!

I just had to show you these two photo’s…. it is officially my dear daughters last day at school today, she only needs to go back to sit her exams now!
I got out the old family photo album, it only seems like yesterday she got her first school uniform, she was so eager to go to school then, now all she’s looking forward to today is the traditional signing of the shirt lol! That is where you get as many signatures as you possibly can onto your white polo shirt. I still have my son’s signed shirts! One from the last year at junior and the other from his last day at secondary! I was going to show you one, but boys being boys, well lets just say there are not just signatures, there’s a bit of art work too, haahaahaa!

So here is Catherine, when she was just 5 years old, every bit the angel!
Now she is 16, full of fun, likes a laugh and wears me out!

Battle of Waterloo!

Last week DH and I went to a war re-enactment at Newstead Abbey, we stumbled on it by chance the evening before, as we went for a little walk around the grounds and found the 'troups' had pitched up tents close to the historical building.. I will show you some pictures of the campsite another day, the setting just looked perfect!
Today I am showing you pictures of the battle itself.. it is just a small part of the 'Battle of Waterloo' I do believe there was a gentleman called 'Wiseman' at the battle who actually lived at Newstead Abbey, hence the enactment taking place there!
I am not going to give you a running commentary on the pictures as I think they speak for themselves! I hope you enjoy them.

Before I get onto the freebie for you today, I have a few other things to share with you.

Bollywood Dreams

Well I trust all you Mom's out there who was celebrating Mothers Day got spoilt rotton! We celebrate ours in March, I reckon another one in May would suit me! We all need spoiling a little more often. I tried to play in photoshop at the weekend, hoping to design a kit whilst DH was away ( he's gone off on a walking weekend with a mate) all I got done was 5 elements! my mind went blank. My dear daughter is sitting her GCSE levels very shortly and I reckon I spent most of my time trying my hardest at encouraging her to revise! she can be hard work, any of you get the same when it's exam time.

I have a new kit in store today. 'Bollywood Dreams' the papers are really rich and some of them have a sari fabric feel to them. The elements consist of a fair bit of sequins and bling! It really catches the glitzy fun that bollywood is!

A few layouts to show you from my Ct..........

Maryse has used the tag to frame her daughter, I love the idea!

Denise has used the kit to capture a bit of serenity of ths coastal line where she lives! wish I was there.

I love the way Kim has used the papers to overlap the journalling she has done, beautiful!

And just look at the border clustering Anne has put here, it is awesome! We have a piano in our house too! I don't seem to find time to practise anymore....

My friend Renee ( we are on Kim B's team together) sent me this, WOW! thank you for playing with my kit, this is stunning..

I have a little freebie made with this kit.. A mini tag book album, perfect for your handbag!
